Burgess & Behr was established in 1962 on the semi-retirement of Roy Burgess. Long-time employee Alvin H. Behr, newly licensed as a land surveyor, took over surveying operations with Roy Burgess. They provided civil engineering support until 1988, when the firm’s records were purchased by Taconic Surveying & Engineering. Burgess & Behr surveyed the Dutchess Park and Brinckerhoff developments in the Town of Fishkill.
