    NYSDEC FLOOD PROTECTION SURVEY, WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY | SURVEY

    Re-survey, staking and mapping of approximately 6 miles of existing flood protection easements through the Village of Ardsley, Towns of Mt. Pleasant and New Castle, and the City of Yonkers. Surveying and mapping work was completed in strict conformance with specifications provided by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Encroachments into the flood protection parcels were documented using geo-referenced digital photographs that were incorporated into the DEC’s GIS platform.

  • VILLAGE OF WOODBURY MS 4, WOODBURY, NY | ASSESSMENT

    Located all the village's catch basins, storm manholes, outfalls and storm water ponds, acquiring their horizontal and vertical position, pipe materials, inverts and flow patterns to their eventual outfall. Developed a database to store and analyze each of the structures and connecting pipes, which was used to isolate and detect erroneous flow patterns for correction. The database was linked to all field notes and photographs for over 2000 of the originally estimated 1100 structures.

  • FJORD TRAIL, PUTNAM & DUTCHESS COUNTIES, NY | SURVEY

    Providing topographic mapping and land surveying necessary for the design of the trail, including mapping approximately three miles of the RR that required careful coordination with the MTA due to poor records and overlapping property interests. The project will result in a 7.5 mile linear park along the edge of the Hudson River that will connect four neighboring municipalities, providing pedestrian connections to their rail stations and affording visitors astounding views of the Hudson Valley.

  • DH SELF STORAGE, LLC, 150 RADIO CIRCLE DRIVE, MOUNT KISCO, NY | PLAN APPROVAL

    Obtained both Subdivision and Site Plan approval of a 6.4 acre parcel for the construction of an 84,000 sf three-story, self-storage building with associated infrastructure. The project required multiple approvals including NYSDEC and Village wetland permits, Village floodplain permit, NYSDEC and NYCDEP SPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Construction Activity and ABACA approval.

  • MAGAZZINO (AWARD-WINNING ARCHITECT), COLD SPRING, NY | DESIGN

    Led The Magazzino Italian Art Center through the Planning Board process, from its inception to its transformation of an abandoned industrial building into an award-winning Modern Art Museum. Additional expansion required boundary and topographic surveys of the six acre site that includes a second building with a lecture hall and additional art galleries to showcase post war and contemporary Italian art. Scope included civil engineering, landscape design and planning services to obtain approvals.

  • STONE CROP GARDENS, COLD SPRING, NY | PLAN APPROVAL

    Obtained Site Plan approval for the construction of a bothy/welcome center on the picturesque 15 acre site comprised of a diverse collection of gardens and plants. The site plan addressed the pressing need for more parking and the capture of stormwater runoff that was eroding the existing parking area and driveways. B&W also secured the PCDOH and NYSDEC SPDES permits for the onsite septic system and water treatment system.
